Sponsor Information

The Sponsor is an experienced professional working in the optical field, such as an optician, optometrist, or ophthalmologist. Regular interaction with the Sponsor is required to monitor the student's work and clinical practice effectively. The Sponsor will serve as a mentor, assisting the student with complex concepts, proctoring the final examinations of the program, and validating the student's proficiency in clinical practice. The additional support from the Sponsor is crucial in enriching the learning experience. To meet the specific criteria set by each state for apprenticeship requirements (when applicable), a Sponsor must possess certain qualifications to be considered an eligible Sponsor.
